Amanda
Kinzer is a dancer, choreographer,
and teacher. She is currently Assistant Professor of
Communication
and Theatre Arts at Old Dominion University, teaching courses in
ballet,
modern, jazz, composition, dance appreciation, and dance history.
Amanda received an MFA in performance and choreography from the
University
of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2000 and a BA in Economics from the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1994. She taught
at
the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Elon University
before
coming to Old Dominion in 2001. Amanda has performed with the
North
Carolina School of the Arts, the Virginia School of the Arts, the
Wilimington
Civic Ballet, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and
Second
Wind Dance Company. This is her second season with Gravity
Optional.
