Appointments may be made by calling the Counseling Center at 221-3620, or by coming to the office in person. 

We generally have appointments for initial assessments throughout the week from 10-3, except during lunch.  These times are based on feedback we have received from students.  If a student calls for an appointment and we can’t schedule them the same day, we will schedule them one day in advance.  If the matter is urgent or their schedule does not fit our intake schedule, a counselor will contact them to assess their situation and schedule an appointment as soon as possible. If it is an emergency, please let the front desk know as soon as possible and arrangements will be made accordingly.

After an initial evaluation, a student continuing in counseling may be assigned to a staff member for individual counseling or group therapy based on availability and presenting concerns. Please note that there is a greater availability of appointment times at the beginning of the term than at the middle or end of the term. If appropriate, a student may be referred to other sources of help after an initial evaluation.

Due to the high demand for services offered by the Counseling Center, missed appointments result in lost opportunities for our staff to work with other students who might need help.  If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call to cancel at least 24 hours in advance.
