| 1 | Chemistry 149 is the laboratory course associated with Chemistry
101 lecture; if taken, the lab should be taken simultaneously with the
lecture. It satisfies GER requirements for laboratory experience in Natural
Sciences. Chemistry 149 does NOT satisfy other requirements. It does not satisfy medical school requirements, nor does it satisfy prerequisites for higher level chemistry laboratory courses. We do not anticipate that it will satisfy chemistry laboratory requirements in other disciplines (e.g., in Biology, Geology, …). |
| 2 | There are no labs on either Wednesday or Thursday of the first half-week of classes. The FIRST meeting of the course is the regularly scheduled Monday pre-lab discussion in the first full week of classes. Laboratory sections meet following the Monday prelab. |
| 3 | You MUST be registered for BOTH a pre-lab discussion section (Chem149D01, 02, or D03) AND a lab section, one of (Chem149 01-Chem149 N). |
| 4 | There is a pre-lab discussion on Labor Day, as this is a regular class day. |
