Fitness and Wellness Programs

Massages are a type of exercise, right?

The centerpiece of William & Mary’s extensive fitness and wellness program is the newly renovated and expanded Recreation Center, which feels more like a professional gym than gym class. Here you can sign up for group exercise classes— yoga, kickboxing, hip-hop, Pilates, step aerobics, etc.—or one-on-one sessions with professional trainers.

The Recreation Center also boasts a 25 yard, eight lane pool, weight rooms, tennis and racquetball courts, an indoor climbing wall and three gyms, so you don’t need to sign up for a class to make the most of the excellent exercise facilities.

For those of us who lack motivation, there’s the nifty incentive program. Basically, you have six weeks to complete all of the workouts on your punch card. Completed cards are entered into a drawing for awesome prizes.
