Not a Women’s Studies Major?
We offer plenty of opportunities for students from other departments to pursue their interests in feminism, women's and gender issues, or sexuality, in a variety of introductory, interdisciplinary and cross-listed courses. Non-majors can enroll for an internship for academic credit at a local community organization, or work with one of the Women's Studies faculty on an independent study. Many Women's Studies courses fulfill GERs.
Students majoring in Global Studies with a concentration in European Studies may use WMST 315 (Women in Antiquity) to fulfill one of their "European Literatures and Cultures" requirements; and students majoring in Global Studies with a concentration in Latin American Studies may take WMST 312 (Comparative Sociology) as one of their electives.
