Work in Progress XI: April 21, 2001

On Saturday, April 21, 2001, the Women's Studies Program and the Women Involved in Living and Learning (WILL) Program at the University of Richmond, in conjunction with The College of William and Mary and the Friends of Women's Studies at Old Dominion University, are sponsoring the 11th annual conference on feminist scholarship to be held at the University of Richmond.

As with the highly successful conferences held at William and Mary and ODU in the past, this will be an opportunity for students and faculty who are feminist scholars and creative writers from across the region to come together to share and discuss their current research and work. In past years, Work In Progress has been an unjuried conference that provides a supportive millieu for people to share their various ideas and research relating to women.

Prospective participants should submit a one-page proposal by February 15, 2001. They may submit these proposals via e-mail to Stella Jones and Del McWhorter, Ph.D., c/o sjones2@richmond.edu. Snail mail entries may be submitted to Stella Jones, Department Secretary and Del McWhorter, Ph.D., Professor of Philosophy and Women's Studies, University of Richmond, Richmond, VA 23173. The proposals will be used to organize the papers into sessions. We will notify participants by March 10, 2001.

When submitting the proposals please indicate the following: (1) Mailing address (2) E-mail address (3) Work and home phone numbers (4) Whether faculty/staff (incl. dept.), unaffiliated scholar/writer, grad student (incl.dept.), undergrad student (5) Specify audiovisual needs and (6) Whether registration fee is enclosed.

Registration fee: $15 for faculty/$10 all others. After April 10, 2001. ALL REGISTRATION FEES ARE $20.
