In 2015 VSF will again offer two one-week day-camps for young actors who wish to study the acting of Shakespeare's plays. Camp directors will be joined by various members of the VSF Acting Company to instruct the campers in the playing of Shakespeare's language, stage combat, improvisation and clowing as part of the week's instruction. Camps will culminate with campers performing an abridged version of All's Well That Ends Well in our studio theatre.
Camps run from 9am to 4pm, Monday through Thursday and then from 9am to 5:30pm on Friday when All's Well That Ends Well is presented to the public at 4pm that Friday.
Classes are held at Phi Beta Kappa Hall on the campus of the College of William and Mary. Tuition for the week is $250. The Young Shakespeare Camps are day camps, no housing is provided and those students attending from out of town would need to find their own housing for the week of the camp.
Camps will fill on a first come, first served basis with a total of 24 spots available for each week. Registration for these camps opens on February 16, 2015. For the past ten years, camps have sold out, so we encourage you to register early.
Camp registration for both weeks is now closed. We are currently accepting wait list requests.
