Academic Summer Sessions

Studying in library

The College of William and Mary offers around 130 courses, primarily in Arts and Sciences, in two summer sessions. Over half of these courses are guaranteed, meaning that they will be offered regardless of enrollment. Other courses are contingent on enrollment, but the majority of contingent courses meet minimum enrollment targets. Students will be informed by e-mail two days in advance of the start of classes if a course is to be canceled.

Students may not take more than eight credit hours per session. Requests for overloads must be approved by the Committee on Academic Status.
