St Andrews William & Mary Joint Degree Programme

Collaborative. International. Scholarship.

The second oldest institution of higher education in the United States and the oldest university in Scotland are joining forces to offer an undergraduate Joint Degree Programme.

The Programme between William & Mary and the University of St Andrews is one of the few of its kind in the world. Students complete two years at each institution and earn a single diploma - a Bachelor of Arts-(International Honours) - with the insignias of both institutions.

For at least 25 years, William & Mary and St Andrews have bridged the Atlantic Ocean through study abroad and student exchange programs. This cross-continental, joint degree partnership brings new opportunities for collaborative international scholarship among students and faculty alike.

While this is a unique opportunity for students to have an international experience in college, there are many other avenues for students to venture abroad. Some include study abroad programs offered through the Reves Center for International Studies and Branch Out International service trips sponsored by the Office of Community Engagement and Scholarship.
