The Office of Academic Advising does more than advise students through course selection. We are also here to provide on-going support for students during times of academic transition and reflection. Here are some great resources to help students be proactive in their approach to their academic courses here at William & Mary:
The Semester at a Glance (pdf) worksheet can be used as a universal document to record all of your course assignments to help you better visualize a timeline of assignment due dates.
The Syllabus Mapping (pdf) tool allows you to map out your syllabus for one class at a time, track your grades, and have all important information for the class in one, easy location.
You can use the Weekly Balance Worksheet (pdf) in tandem with the Weekly Time Table to better visualize where you are allocating your time both in class and outside of class.
The Weekly Time Table (pdf) can help you map out potential courses for future registration opportunities and determine how your time will be allocated during the week.
Take a look at the Apps for Academics (pdf) for a list of Apps you can download on your phone, tablet, or computer to help you with time management, audio recording, notetaking, and improving your academic success.
The Academic Plan (pdf) is a fantastic tool that can help students map out their Proficiency Requirements, GERs, and Major/Minor requirements. It's also great for planning out courses semesters in advance based on their major/minor coursework. (To use the editable plan, download and save the PDF first, then fill it out and re-save!) Use the Academic Planning Guide to help plan your Tribe Journey.
