Prospective Students Without Dance Experience

newstudents

Many students study dance for the first time at William and Mary.  We offer courses in technique, composition, history, and performance which may lead to a Dance minor or Interdisciplinary Studies major.  If you are interested in beginning dance classes, we recommend you enroll in Modern I or a lecture course such as Danc 230 (History of American Vernacular Dance).

All technique courses at the 200 level or above require faculty permission to enroll, and new students must attend a Dance Placement Evalution to obtain that permission.
