Many of our alumni have been deeply involved in departmental productions as students and pursued careers in the performing arts after graduation. While many of these accomplished alums earned degrees from Theatre, Speech & Dance, some majored in other disciplines while embracing the liberal arts tradition at the College. Robert Wachs ’61 (1940-2013), Theatrical lawyer and entertainment industry leader in television, film and comedy. Wachs was also the owner of Comic Strip (NYC comedy club), a talent manager, and a producer in film and on stage.

Patty Granville Holcomb '68, Director of the Garland Center for the Performing Arts in Garland, TX since 1982, which was renamed the Patty Granville Arts Center in 2003 in her honor. Granville Holcomb is also the founder and producer of Garland Summer Musicals.
William Ivey Long '69, Six-time Tony Award winner and Broadway costume designer. Ivey Long has been nominated for 18 Tony Awards in costume design and was inducted into the Theatre Hall of Fame in 2005. MFA in design from Yale University.

Brian Lewis '97 - “Brian Keith Lewis has been named one of the top ten most innovative real estate professionals in the USA by Inman News. The New York Times calls him the "luxury hand holder," and Brian's iconic property videos have attracted global attention. People Magazine named one of Brian's video tours as "the best the real estate world has ever seen." A regular media commentator, Brian is a nationally ranked, luxury closer who was encouraged to pursue real estate when he sought the services of the Actor's Fund's (Actor's Work Program) during the Screen Actor's Guild strike in 1999. Having trained with Uta Hagen and at NC School of the Arts, Brian has done many on camera national commercials, many big voice-over campaigns, and voiced several audiobooks.
