Theatre, Speech & Dance

2001-12 picnic

The fields of Theatre, Speech, and Dance are exciting and rewarding areas of study.  The department offers classes, laboratories, and productions that teach students how to engage with various aspects of the theatrical arts within a liberal arts setting. Our students develop their knowledge and skills inside the classroom and through main stage and studio productions under the supervision of professional faculty.

No audition is required to major in Theatre or minor in Theatre or Dance. Auditions for performers and applications for technical crew positions are open to all students at the College.

Faculty are active in interdisciplinary work across campus. Departmental courses are cross-listed with an array of interdisciplinary programs including Africana Studies, American Studies, Asian Studies, Film Studies, Literary and Cultural Studies, and Women's Studies.
