Details
As part of the interpretive staff at First Landing State Park an intern would conduct and assist with interpretive programs, environmental education, and guided tours related to natural, cultural and historic resources. Programs included guided hikes, water quality tours in the Cypress swamps, canoe/kayak programs with watershed themes, fishing/crabbing programs, bird watching, and junior ranger camps. Programs and tours are for people of all ages, but most programs are designed around the needs of K-12 school groups, daycare centers, and campers. Interns will be interacting with both adults and children in an informal education setting. A majority of program attendees are families with school-age children.
We would be willing to accept an intern for a length of time ranging from 4 weeks to 8 weeks depending on the need of the intern.
