Our mission at the Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum is to ignite creativity, spark curiosity and inspire learning in visitors of all ages by providing a rich variety of interactive, hands-on exhibits and programs that focus on the sciences and mathematics, the humanities, and the arts.  Interns have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks, such as:

Working with our program team to design and present the Paleontology Cart presentations for small groups of museum visitors on topics such as avian physiology and behavior, microbiology, soil and water conservation, etc.

Working as a camp counselor, helping to plan and implement camps in fun, dynamic settings at the Museum. Each year our camp menu changes but we always have a full and exciting schedule.
