Back

Dry and barren is the seed.
A seed you plant.
It falls from your hands,
tumbling from your fingers:
Each one opening like a lotus flower
Until the seed has no choice but to fall,
this seed of doubt.
And now you ask for my help.
You plead. You beg. You cry.
"Water my seed! Water my seed!"
But water will not come.
No book shall provide it.
No Guru will teach it to you.
No one can help you.
Who is going to whisper in your ear?
Who is going to teach you what
you can only teach yourself?
If someone else had all the answers,
then they would already be with Ram.
Only you can water the seed;
For the seed is within you.
