Honors Thesis Guidelines, approved November 2013
1. In his or her Junior year, the student should have discussions with the prospective mentor about the thesis topic.
2. The proposal should be submitted before mid-March of the student’s Junior year, in order to meet the deadline for applying for funding from the Charles Center. The proposal should have three signatures, those of two members of the department—the mentor and a second reader—and the student.
3. A copy of the proposal should be kept by each signatory as well as the chair.
