The W&M Program in Public Policy
Public Policy at W&M is an interdisciplinary program featuring faculty trained in a variety of fields, including economics, government, law, sociology, and environmental policy, among others. Three degree tracks are available:
- BA in Public Policy for current undergraduate students.
- 5-year program (BA+MPP) for current undergraduate students of any major that allows them to earn a bachelors in their chosen field and also a Master’s in Public Policy.
- 2-year Master’s in Public Policy (MPP). Click here to apply.
W&M Public Policy also offers combined degree programs for students seeking an MPP degree and wish to earn an additional graduate degree in law, education, marine science, or business.
All of these degree tracks help students develop subject-matter expertise and a strong foundation of analytical and applied-methods skills, which lead to career placements that compare favorably with any program in the country. In those placements, our alumni create and manage policy for elected officials, in governmental agencies at the municipal, state, national, and international levels, and in the non-profit and private sectors.
