Biography

Class of ‘84

Scott has over twenty years of regulation and compliance experience in New York, Washington, London and Brussels. He is currently responsible for corporate-wide compliance programs at Charles Schwab and serves as its primary point of contact with regulators on compliance matters. His earlier roles include senior compliance roles in the US and Europe, regulatory policy and advisory roles, and Managing Editor for financial regulatory news at a major news organization.

Scott is a published author on regulatory matters, having published two books and an editorial column which won a national award from the Society of American Business Editors and Writers.

He holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Cambridge and a Master’s degree in Financial Regulation and Compliance Management from London Guildhall University, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Government from the College of William and Mary.
