Faculty

The core faculty of the department consists of 21 individuals, all of whom have a Ph.D. in psychology. In addition to being dedicated teachers, the faculty are active scholars. For example, the faculty's publication record and their citations in the Social Science Citation Index rank the W&M Psychology Department in the top quarter of psychology departments that grant doctoral degrees, despite the fact that the department does not offer a Ph.D. in psychology. Moreover, students have been co-authors on many of these publications, and students have also participated as authors, co-authors, and presenters in regional, national, and international scientific conferences. In addition, a half-dozen visiting and adjunct faculty broaden the department’s course offerings and bring added research opportunities to our students.
