Psychology

Why and how do people act, think, and feel as they do? Many of the answers to such questions are found in psychology, the science of mental processes and behaviors. Our department offers one of the largest and most active undergraduate programs at William and Mary, graduating about 150 majors each year. We also offer an M.A. and support the undergraduate Neuroscience program.  Through our vertical integration of research opportunities, students at all levels work with our faculty on research projects exploring the various areas of psychology.

Members of the Committee on Buildings and Grounds of William & Mary's Board of Visitors were treated to an advance look at the Machine for Science and other features of Phase 3 of the College's Integrated Science Center.

W&M receives grant to provide testing, support to incarcerated pregnant women

A group of William & Mary professors have received a grant that will provide testing and support for pregnant women who are in jail.
