Dear Alumni:

This time of year we are asking for your support of our students who applied for Honors Fellowships. You can find descriptions of their projects and learn more about them at this link.

Psychology Honors Fellowships

Your funding will go directly to these project and these students. These awards provide a stipend so students can focus on their research project this summer and provide some funding to offset the cost of supplies.

We are pleased to announce that Professor Will Cunningham (BA Class of 1995; MA Class of 1998) will be the alumni speaker at the Psychology Department’s annual Alumni Lecture. The lecture will be held on Friday April 22 at 12:00 PM (noon) in the Sadler Center Tidewater B. Using social psychological and cognitive neuroscience techniques, Professor Cunningham examines how evaluations lead to emotional responses. If you would like to learn more please see here:

Lastly, as you may recall, Professor Larry Ventis is retiring at the end of this year. We will be hosting a retirement reception for him in late April and would like gather stories of appreciation and humor from former students to present to him.
