Your contribution to the Physics Department will help our faculty members provide the best learning experience to our students. You can contribute online now with your credit card, using our secure web server. The contribution form will be pre-selected to direct your gift to the general academic fund for the Physics Department, which supports student and faculty needs directly.
Support the Work of the Physics Department
In recent years, gifts to the department's general fund have allowed us to, amongst other things, send a delegation of physics majors to the Quadrennial National Society of Physics Students congress, to upgrade advanced undergraduate lab equipment, to allow graduate students to present their research at national conferences, to support summer research fellowships for physics undergraduates, and to recognize top physics students via academic awards and prizes.
Support Student Research
Undergraduate research is supported through the Dorothy Pruitt Babcock Research Scholarship.
The Cheryl Griffiths Tropf Graduate Fellowship supports graduate research.
Support an Outstanding Graduate Student
Contributions to the Rolf Winter Memorial Fund support a fellowship offered annually to the graduate student in physics who has demonstrated dedication and excellence in the performance of his or her teaching responsibilities.
