QuarkNet Master Class
Once a year, high school classes from around the world can participate in QuarkNet masterclasses. At William & Mary, the student spend an entire day on campus, visiting the high energy physics laboratories, and hearing faculty talk about their research. The capstone activity is the analysis of real high energy physics data, and the exchange and comparison of the results with the other classes world-wide over video-conference. An example of events that students have to classify is shown below.
