About the Performers
Hailed as “a musical sensation from Austria” (Tagesspiegel, Berlin), the Minetti Quartett has won many top prizes during its career, including first prize at the International Rimbotti String Quartet competition (Florence), the Haydn Prize at the International Haydn Competition (Vienna), the top award at the International Schubert Competition (Graz), and the Grosser Gradus ad Parnassum Prize (Austria).
Named a “Rising Star” by the European Concert Hall Organization, the quartet has performed at London’s Wigmore Hall, Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, the Palau de la Música in Barcelona, the Konserthuset in Stockholm, the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels, the Cologne Philharmonie, the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, the Salzburg Mozarteum, and at Vienna’s Konzerthaus and Musikverein. The Quartett has been a guest artist at leading chamber music festivals including the Schubertiade Schwarzenberg, Aix-en-Provence, Mecklenburg- Vorpommern, and the Kuhmo Festival in Finland, and played concert tours in North, Central, and South America, Australia, Japan, China, and the United States. Their CDs of string quartets and clarinet quintets have received critical acclaim.
