Monroe Scholars may submit proposals for scholarships to fund Summer Research Projects. First-year Monroe Scholars are eligible to undertake two-week research projects that extend or build on topics they studied in their freshman classes. Upperclass Monroe Scholars are eligible for funding to conduct an intensive, seven-week research project after the sophomore or junior year. All Monroe Scholars who complete a summer research project will present their work in the fall at the Charles Center's annual Summer Research Showcase.
NOTE: We strongly recommend that both upperclass and freshman Monroe Scholars make an appointment to meet with a Swem Research Librarian.
Upperclass Monroe Projects - deadline for submitting proposals for summer 2014 research is 12 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2013
- Examples of summer 2013 proposals: Matthew Baker | Sharon Hartzell | Johnathan Maza | Lizzy Pelletier
