Monroe Scholars can apply for scholarships to fund Summer Research Projects. First-year Monroe Scholars are eligible to undertake two-week research projects that extend or build on topics they studied in their freshman classes. Upperclass Monroe Scholars are eligible for funding to conduct an intensive, seven-week research project after the sophomore or junior year.
NOTE: We strongly recommend that both upperclass and freshman Monroe Scholars make an appointment to meet with a Swem Research Librarian.
Students can look at previous summer projects to get an idea of what Monroe students have done in the past.
