Freeman Foundation Summer Research Grant

Congratulations to Jordan Dickson, the first recipient of the Freeman Foundation Summer Research Grant. Jordan is working this summer with Professor Rachel DiNitto on the varied and nuanced expression of nationalism in 21st century Japan. She is looking at both a top-down model based in political and government structures, and a bottom-up model of civic cultural engagement. Jordan plans to turn her research into an article for publication in an undergraduate journal.
