ResearchAnita Angelone received a Ph.D. in Italian Studies from New York University in 2003, and has been directing the program in Italian at William and Mary since 2007. Specializing in 20th and 21st-century Italian culture, her research interests include Italian cinema, literature, architecture and urban history. She has published scholarly articles on directors Pier Paolo Pasolini (2008) and Valerio Zurlini (2010). Professor Angelone teaches courses in Italian as well as courses on Italian and Italian American culture in English. Past and present offerings include Introduction to Italian Cultural Studies, Italian Cinema and Post-War Society, Italian America, and 20th-Century Italian Women Writers.
