Noel Blanco Mourelle, Assistant Professor of Hispanic Studies, is a specialist in theories of religious conversion and universalism, political theology, and history of the book. He received a Ph.D. from the Department of Latin American & Iberian Cultures at Columbia University in the City of New York, an M.A. in Arts et Langages from the EHESS (France), and a B.A. in Romance Philology from the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (Spain). At William & Mary, he will teach classes on literary and cultural studies, with a focus on Medieval texts, and the commitment to bridge the culture of the past with current social questions.
