Nathan Rabalais earned his Ph.D. in French Studies from Tulane University and holds a Doctorat en Langues et littératures from Université de Poitiers. His research focuses primarily on literatures, cultures, and language varieties of Francophone North America (including French and Creole Louisiana, Quebec, and Acadia), folklore, orality, dialect pedagogy, and community theatre. A few of the courses Professor Rabalais will teach at W&M include The Craft of Writing, Literature in Cultural Context, and Francophone Literature and Culture from Louisiana and Québec.
