Lunpeng Ma is Visiting Assistant Professor of Chinese Studies in Modern Languages and Literatures at the College of William and Mary. He is a Ph.d. Candidate in the Dept. of Cultural Analysis and Theory, Stony Brook University. He received his Master’s Degree in Chinese Language and Literature from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His area of expertise focuses on Cultural Studies, Film History and Theory, Modern and Contemporary Chinese Cinemas, Literature, and Culture, Asian Cinema, Critical Theory. Prior teaching experience has been Chinese Poetry and Short Stories; Chinese Lyric Prose and Play; Images and Texts: Understanding Culture; Film History; Film Genre; Asian Cinema and Cultural Studies; Modern Chinese Cinema. This fall Professor Ma will be offering two sessions of Chinese Popular Culture and one Freshmen Seminar (Country and City: Modern China in Transformation).
