The Department of Kinesiology & Health Sciences at the College of William & Mary would like to welcome the class of 2012 to the growing family of our alumni. Of the 71 students who graduated from our department, 64 of you attended the graduation ceremony last May 13th. The day began at William & Mary Hall where commencement was held and where the commencement speech by Jim Lehrer, longtime host of the "PBS Newshour", was delivered. Following this, students moved to Adair Hall where degrees were handed out while almost 500 family and friends looked on. Also at Adair Hall, Taylor Hurst was named as the Kinesiology & Health Sciences Major of the Year before giving a commencement speech describing her experiences while majoring in Kinesiology & Health Sciences, along with the lasting impressions of her time here that will stay with her forever. When the proceedings concluded, everyone was invited to stay and share in some hors d’oeuvres and soft drinks. People enjoyed mingling – and hugging – and taking lots of pictures. See for yourselves!!
