Randy grew up in rural upstate New York. He moved to Virginia in 1983 to pursue a masters degree. He has a background in athletics including distance running, skiing, and canoeing. Currently, Randy has returned to his rural roots and lives on a small hobby farm in Gloucester County with his wife, Anna.
