Undergraduate Program

The International Relations program offers a B.A. in International Relations. This is an interdisciplinary major that draws courses from the Economics, History, Government, and Sociology Departments.

International Relations majors explore the interactions between states and non-state actors. They also examine how markets can impact national policies and decisions of international organizations. Our courses will encourage you to grapple with the major issues in the international arena, from global economic development to conflict prevention.

Opportunities outside the classroom include studying abroad, participating in faculty-led research, and pursuing internships.

The major in International Relations is distinct from the Global Studies program. Global Studies focuses on the culture, history, languages, literature, politics, and religions of major world regions. If you are interested in such a course of study, we encourage you to visit the Global Studies website.
