Bio
Joshua Beatty is a doctoral candidate in early American history, finishing a dissertation entitled "'The Fatal Year': Slavery, Violence, and the Stamp Act of 1765." He works as a reference and instruction librarian at the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. After a decade in sunny Williamsburg, he has not yet adapted to snow on the ground for six months of the year.
