Shannon Goings received her BA in history from Indiana University in May 2010. Originally from Huntington, IN, she is currently enrolled in the Comparative & Transnational History MA program. She wrote her undergraduate thesis on the portrayal of women's bodies in 20th century British and American sex and marriage manuals.  Currently, she is continuing her focus on 20th century gender and sexual history and plans to write her MA thesis on the reception and impact of Marie Stopes' Married Love.
