BioMatthew Mosca received his
PhD in History and East Asian Languages from Harvard University in 2008, and
subsequently held postdoctoral fellowships at UC Berkeley and the University of
Hong Kong. His teaching and research interests center on Chinese and
Inner Asian history, specifically the history of the Qing empire (1644-1912),
its foreign relations, and the intellectual history of Qing-era geography and
historiography. His study of Qing perspectives on British India is
forthcoming (Stanford UP, 2013)."
