Bio
Franklin graduated summa cum laude from Samford University, in Birmingham, Alabama with a B.A. in History. A University Fellow and Howard Scholar, his publications include creative and critical literature in "WideAngle" and history essays in the "Samford Undergraduate Research Journal." His undergraduate research focused on Women's History and Environmental History in the American South, including the first nuns to settle colonial New Orleans and female activists of the Civil Rights Movement. He plans to continue studying Southern domesticity and society at William and Mary.
