HGSA Fall Picnic!

As is our department tradition, the HGSA will host a picnic next Friday, August 28th, 2009 at 5 pm.

The event will be held at Rachael Headrick's house (124 Brookhaven, 23188).

All history grad students, faculty and their families are welcome.

The HGSA will provide hot dogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, rolls, condiments,

utensils, water, sodas, and beer brewed by our own grad students Andrew and

Jack. Everyone is asked to bring a side dish or a dessert to share.

Directions to Rachael's place:

From Blair -

Turn left on to Richmond Rd.

Turn left on to Monticello

Turn left on to Ironbound at the first Ironbound/Monticello intersection (light just before New Town) Turn left on to Brookhaven (look for large white and red brick "Brook Haven" sign at entrance) Turn left at first intersection to stay on Brookhaven

124 is on the right, shortly after the curve

I hope that all of you will attend as this is a fun way to start the semester, reconnect with old friends after a long summer and an opportunity for the new students to meet us all.
