2004 Women's Studies Graduates

Julian LongJulian Long (né Carr): (Women's Studies/English): Legal Researcher (Research Associate, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals)
Julian Carr graduated in 2004 and attended W&M Law School, earning his J.D. in 2007.  After law school, he began working for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals as a research associate.  He now specializes in virtual dissection options and has worked with schools from the elementary to collegiate level.  In addition, Julian is very involved in LGBT activism.  He does local volunteer work with the Hampton Roads Outreach Center and the Gender Expression Movement,  and he recently served on the board of directors of the statewide LGBT advocacy organization Equality Virginia. Update: In 2011, Julian got married and took his spouse's name. He was also recently promoted to "Humane Science Education Specialist" at P.E.T.A. He is currently exploring the possibility of going back to school to earn a Master's in English and perhaps teaching English at either the high school or community college level. (2012)
