Presenting a Poster at a Conference or the Graduate Research Symposium?

The Graduate Center plans to host a 90 minute hands-on Graduate Center workshop Designing Conference Posters.  Standard formatting, eye appeal, parallel construction, and text-to-graphic ratios are all important considerations when designing a conference poster.  This workshop will present strategies for creating effective academic posters that will be sure to catch your audience’s attention.  Sample posters, representing a variety of different fields, will be critiqued.  Students are encouraged to bring their own academic posters to receive individualized, constructive feedback.   The workshop will be held March 12, 2013 from 5:00 - 6:30PM .  Please contact Barbara Monteith (bgmont@wm.edu) if you are interested in attending the workshop.
