Phil Essman '71 retired from mergers and acquisitions at AT&T in 2001 and moved to Hilton Head, SC. He is an active volunteer with the national Make A Wish Foundation and the local public school system. (2009)

Diane A. Drummond '72 lives in Richmond and has worked for the s Department of Social Services as a medical assistance program consultant for 30 years. She also volunteers at the Free Clinic of Goochland and tries to spend as much time as possible with her 16-year-old son. (2009)

John Vile '73 was appointed in July 2008 as Dean of the Honors College at Middle Tennessee State University, where he had headed the political science department for 19 years. He recently co-edited the Encyclopedia of the First Amendmentand the Philosopher, Founder, and Statesman. (2009)

Harold Carter '74 graduated from UVA Law School and then worked for Harris Beach LLP in Rochester, NY for 28 years. A year ago, he became General Counsel in his local public transportation provider, and is currently Vice-President of Membership for the local council of the Boy Scouts of America. (2009)

Phil Mott '74 has spent 4 years as a certified financial planner after more than 29 years in the U.S. Navy. (2009)

Brian W. Pusch '76 is a partner in the New York law firm of Pusch & Gal. He practices in the areas of corporate and securities laws, including venture capital, private equity, and hedge funds, with a focus on biotechnology and other technology companies. (2009)

Betsy Sigman Page '78 is a professor at Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business, where she specializes in survey research, electronic commerce and e-government, and management information systems. (2009)
