Professor Hutton has scholarly interests in Greek literature and culture, with specializations in the travel writer Pausanias and the historian Herodotus. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Texas (1995) and came to William and Mary after teaching at the Universities of Wisconsin and Calgary and at Truman State University. He currently teaches various courses in Greek and Roman history and culture, as well as advanced Latin and Greek.
