Areas of Specialization

Is interested in the place of music in the lives of Americans of the nineteenth century, including opera in the antebellum period, musical theater, Broadway musicals and film music of the twentieth century. She teaches courses in 18th- and 19th-century music, American popular music, and film studies. Regular Course: "Music and Film" (FILM 401)
