Environmental, Labor and Health Economics
Nicholas Sanders joins the Department of Economics as an assistant professor. Prior to joining William & Mary, he spent 2 years as a postdoctoral fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research. He obtained his Ph.D. in Economics in 2010 from the University of California at Davis. Professor Sanders' research interests include environmental, labor, and health economics, with a specific focus on the interaction between government policy, environmental quality, and human mortality and health. Other policy related research includes how students respond to being placed on academic probation and how criminals respond to shifts in the probability of identification and capture.
