Kevin Tabatabai '05 (BS - Computer Science)  Just wanted to share some news about an exciting startup named SocialVents that Alex Santos '05 (BS - Computer Science) and myself have been working on.

 SocialVents is essentially a location-based events search engine, which allows the user the find out what's going on around her by using her current location or inputting any other address. On the map, the user can filter based on date and various event categories, ranging from concerts, meetups, and lectures to plays, sports, fashion, active and nightlife activities.  Additionally, there exists an iPhone app, which is free of charge and allows the user to figure out what's happening around her on the go.

Kelly Kiernan '08 (BS - Computer Science)  Left the government contracting world to work in the private sector.  Currently working as a backend developer for a small company, Parature, on their Knowledge Base software, an application that provides cloud-based social and customer engagement software.  (5/12)
