Community-Based Learning and Research

Sharpe and the Community Studies programs support faculty across the curriculum in efforts to integrate community-based teaching and research.  Some faculty offer courses within our programs, such as freshman seminars in Sharpe or core courses in the Community Studies minor; however, some faculty across departments have developed community-based approaches to teaching and mentoring student research to integrate community-based action and research within their academic disciplines.
