Community-Based Learning and Research

The Sharpe program supports faculty across the curriculum in efforts to integrate community-based teaching and research with courses.  Some faculty offer courses within our programs, such as freshman seminars in Sharpe; however, some faculty across departments have developed community-based approaches within their academic displines to offer courses and mentor student research that integrates community engagement with learning and research.  The COLL300 curriculum is especially suited for community-based approaches to learning, and in any discipline, students are able to advance their community-based studies in specially designed courses to support their work.
