Biochemistry Minor

A minor in biochemistry requires successful completion of a minimum of 18 credit hours consisting of a 12 credits in core courses and 6 credits in electives. See the Undergraduate Catalog for details on the requirements for the minor.

have both forms signed by any member of the Biochemistry Minor Advisory Committee (Professor Bebout, Coleman, Landino, and Young in the Chemistry Department or Professors Hinton and Shakes in the Biology Department) and then submit both forms with an unofficial transcript to the Director of Interdisciplinary Studies (Professor Schwartz in the Charles Center).

The Biochemistry minor has significant overlap with both the Biology and Chemistry minors, which can be good alternatives for students having difficulty scheduling elective courses for their major and the Biochemistry minor.
