Research Interests:

For the past three years I have been researching the effects of human disturbance on the behavior and breeding success of local cavity-nesting species.  Now I am beginning a project focusing on the communication systems of these same animals in response to anthropogenic noise in their environments.  I will be quantifying aspects of sound transmission and individual song characteristics to investigate the evolution of communication across a disturbance gradient.
